Set up for the Iraqi market
The dinar and the dollar in one ledger.
Iraqi companies sell in dinars, import in dollars and pay some suppliers in a third currency. Odoo records every transaction in its own currency, calculates the exchange differences and presents the result in the reporting currency your group has chosen.
- Landed cost of imports. Shipping, clearance and customs charges are loaded directly onto the actual cost of the item.
- Branches in several governorates. Warehouses and points of sale in different places, and one stock picture visible to management.

What boards ask us most often.
Can all the companies in our group run on one Odoo system?
Yes. Odoo runs several companies in a single database. Each company has its own books, currency and access rights, with reports at group level.
Does Odoo handle the Iraqi dinar and the US dollar together?
Yes. Odoo is multi-currency: each company records its transactions in the currency they actually took place in, the system calculates exchange differences, and reports are presented in the group's currency.
Are the interface and the reports available in Arabic?
Yes. Odoo has a complete right-to-left Arabic interface, and invoices and reports can be issued in Arabic, in English, or in both languages together.
Does Odoo run on our own servers or in the cloud?
Both options are available. We help you choose the hosting that suits the size of your group and its requirements. Odoo licences are quoted directly by Odoo.
Can we start with one company and add the rest of the group later?
Yes, and it is the approach we most often recommend: we start with the company that is most ready, then add the group's other companies one after another on the same structure.
